Yesterday at 10:08 am (the number eight is considered a lucky number in China) everything was ready for the grand opening of the CADCON Group’s branch in China.

Following a Chinese tradition, an opening ceremony with a fireworks display was organized to formally announce the establishment of CADCON (Suzhou) Industrial Engineering Services Co., Ltd. in China.

Many guests, customers, suppliers and government officials from Suzhou Industrial Park and Shanghai were invited to the ceremony. Robert Bauer, CEO of the CADCON Group, and Dominique Seidner, executive managing director and general manager for CADCON Business in China, extended their sincere greetings to the guests with special thanks to the Suzhou municipal government for their full support of CADCON’s infrastructure construction.

In mid-2010, the CADCON Holding Company made the decision to follow their German long-term customers to China.

Located south east of Jiangsu Province and about 80 kilometers west of Shanghai, the new center serves as the headquarter for CADCON’s operations in Asia.

“Our expectation is solidly-grounded that in the future CADCON Suzhou Center will greatly expand the Asian market. Since March, the staff of the CADCON Suzhou Center has already quadrupled.” With this positive statement of Mr. Seidner the atmosphere of the ceremony reached its climax. In the subsequent small talk with employees, the guests could enjoy German/Chinese self-service lunch and visited the offices.
